Licensing & FAQ
Plain language. Careful claims. This page is a draft for the prototype — not legal advice. Final terms will be reviewed before launch.
What you can do
Under our planned license, generated images and purchased packs are yours to use commercially: merch, ads, books, apps, client work, and classroom materials — as long as you follow the exclusions below.
What we mean by “public domain styles”
We offer style presets inspired by historical art movements and early animation techniques whose copyrights have expired. Styles themselves generally aren't copyrightable. Specific trademarked characters still are protected.
FAQ
Can I use my generations commercially?
Yes under our planned license: styles inspired by public domain art; generated images are yours to use commercially under that license. Always check the note under each result. This is not a warranty for every jurisdiction or use.
Can I make images of famous cartoon characters?
No. Even when early films entered the public domain, many character names and designs remain trademarked. Our presets deliberately avoid those names (we say “1930s Rubber Hose,” not a trademarked character). Don't prompt for trademarked characters.
Are the sample images on this prototype free to reuse?
The gallery images were made for this demo. Treat them as product screenshots for now. Live product downloads will ship with the commercial license language.
What's the difference between generating and buying a pack?
Generate = you write a prompt and get a new image (credits). Pack = a curated ZIP of ready-made images in one style, one-time price, no prompting needed.
Do schools get different terms?
Yes. Classroom licenses and bulk packs include educational-use language for worksheets, slides, and student projects. Request a quote on the Schools page.
Will you offer short video later?
That's the plan after the image MVP. Same style presets, short clips, still with careful commercial-use language.
